Not only charming summer bon festival of Morioka Sansa Odori dance festival,
but also Morioka is known for its traditional dashi floats parade. 
Nambu-furyu-dashi floats, which have over 300years-history can be seen usually
from 14th to 16th of September when Morioka Hachiman-gu Shrine's annual festival
"Reitai-sai" is held.
You can enjoy the float twice this year because one of the oldest group "Yee-
gumi" (traditional volunteer firefighters group-"Yee") will hold an event
parade to celebrate the establishmment of the department store "Monaka."
